Gear Evaluation

Instead of a tier list that goes stale with the next patch, here is the checklist we use to judge any drop — plus the general versatility ranking of the eight weapon archetypes.

Why there is no tier list here

Dungeon Quest Reborn is in Early Access and the community itself warns against copying rankings from the original game. A weapon's value depends on the stats that particular drop rolled and on your build, so a single ordered list would be misleading. Judge each drop with the checklist below instead.

The drop checklist

  1. 1.Can you equip it? Check the Req Lvl on the item card — an endgame roll you can't wear yet is a project, not an upgrade.
  2. 2.Does it match your axis? Warrior builds want Physical, Mage builds want Spell. A big number on the wrong axis does nothing.
  3. 3.Read all four stats, not one. Every drop rolls four stats. Match the roll to your build instead of chasing a single 'best' number.
  4. 4.Fit it to the encounter. Range helps while learning; heavy archetypes suit short burst windows; fast recovery forgives mistakes.
  5. 5.Verify live. Confirm the displayed stats and requirements in-game before you commit upgrade resources.

Spell tier lists

The same logic applies to a Dungeon Quest Reborn spell tier list: a spell's value depends on your build axis and on the stats the drop rolled, and the roster shifts during Early Access. Rather than rank spells we can't verify, use the checklist above and confirm the spell in-game.
